Motorbike Insurance for Young Riders
Red lin eused as underline of heading, Advanced Motorcycle Training For All Types of Bikes

The cost of insurance for young motorcycle drivers seems to be increasing all the time. From the point of view of the insurance company they see young drivers as much higher risk due to two factors. Firstly, young motorcycle riders have less experience on the road and are therefore more likely to be involved in an accident that might be avoided by a more experienced rider. Secondly, young male riders tend to have a higher likelihood of taking risks. In fact taking all road accidents into account, 20% of young drivers will have an accident in their first year on the road, while one third of all road accident fatalities are in the 17 to 25 age bracket.

One of the problems with the high cost of insurance for young riders is that it encourages some to ride a motorcycle whilst uninsured. Many argue that the fine imposed if you are caught riding a motorbike whilst uninsured is so low compared to the cost of insurance that it is worth taking the risk. However, what people fail to take into account is their potential personal liability if they are involved in an accident involving personal injury. They might find themselves having to pay damages which can be so high as to cripple them financially for the rest of their lives.

Although the overall cost of insurance for riders has increased steeply, if you shop around there are still good deals to be found. Rather than avoiding insurance costs, your strategy should be to minimise them. Also look for bike insurance deals that offer extras such as legal protection to assist you in recovering uninsured losses.

Also, you might like to consider spreading your insurance costs by making monthly payments through direct debit, which can be much less painful than paying a lump sum. If you also drive a car, then there are some "six wheel insurance" deals around which can save you money by putting both vehicles on one policy.

One of the big names in motorcycles insurance is Carole Nash, which is a good place to start your quest to find a good insurance deal.
